The QATAR racing-owned Colt, BUCKAROO, triumphed at the Galway Festival in Irish Stallions Farms EBF Maiden.
Trained by Joseph O’Brien and ridden by Declan McDonagh, BUCKAROO tracked the leader STONE AGE before challenging and keeping on well to win by a neck. The market had faith in the young Colt, backing him in to favourite.
BUCKAROO is by Coolmore’s FASTNET ROCK out of a Black Type Galileo mare, ROHERYN. His half-sister THOUSAND OAKS won on her third start in a Newmarket Novice Stakes over 1 mile 4 furlongs.
With his improved run after his debut, it’s clear to see there will be more to come from this son of FASTNET ROCK.
